3D Modelling – Weapons:

3D Weapons Moodboard

I like the images in this moodboard that I made and this is because they show how detailed a 3D Model can be after spending enough time and hard work on it. They also show how detailed the game will be because weapons in first person shooters are a big part and this is because they show up most of the players screen. They also show the genre of the game very well and this is because if the weapons are in a futuristic style then the game is more than likely to be futuristic. This happens in all most every game, For example in the game Skyrim all the weapons are in a medieval style and so is the game.

3D Modelling – Characters:

3D Characters Moodboard

The images in this moodboard are all about 3D models of characters in games and these are a big part in games and this is because you cannot have a detailed game without any characters, this is because characters can be interacted with, played as or even to be enemies that you have to fight. I like the images in this moodboard and this is because they are extremely detailed and they show how much time and effort that was put into creating these. They also show the genre of the game like the weapons do and we can tell this by the clothes that the characters are wearing, For example if the characters are wearing futuristic styled clothes then the game is more than likely futuristic.

3D Modelling – Horror:

Ideas for task 3

I gathered some images to do with what I am going to create for my secondary research and for the secondary research I will be creating an item holder in a horror theme by making the shape sharp and compact. The reason why I picked this pictures is because the style and the colors of the models really bring out the horror theme well, this is because they have dark colours such as greys, reds and blacks. This suits the horror theme and this is because horror is full of dark colours and mostly sharp objects. Also the item that I am going to create will have a dark colour scheme and 4 sharp and pointy corners that point up and this is to really bring out the horror theme that it is based on.

Secondary Research

Coin On Podem

I created this to fit in with the horror theme by creating pointy and sharp edges as well as dark colours. I like this model because it really fits in with the dark colours and the sharp corners, this could be implemented into a game if it is polished up and if the right texture is added to it. This can be used as a item holder in a game where once a difficult challenge is completed it would open a door and this structure with an item on it would be sitting at the end. It could also go well with a gothy setting and this is because it has dark colours and sharp edges and this is because gothic items and horror items look similar.
