Final Evaluation

Evaluation:

In this evaluation I am going to talk about which research and design methods I used and how effectively I used them to develop ideas, how well I designed art concepts which address equality and diversity, which areas I think that I did well in 3D Modelling and Programming and 2D Art also what I didn’t do so well in, how well I completed the work by the deadlines, how well I participated in group activities and with peer feedback and how helpful it was,  what I could do to improve my work in the future.

 

The research methods that I used involved searching the web and this is because it is completely free and it is very easy to access, it also has a lot of information on it as well. the design methods that I used were simple and this is because I am not that great when it comes to designing stuff. I used these methods very effectively and this was due to me being very useful to these methods and this is because I have used these methods a lot. I also used these to develop ideas and this is due to me having a high knowledge when it comes to simple things but this also means that I can do them quick and not to make them so complex.

When it came to designing art concepts to address equality and diversity I was not that great and this is due to me not being very good at art at all. I managed to get around this by making all of the life sources robots and this is because they are easy to design and I enjoy designing them. Although they are robots this doesn’t mean there is no equality and diversity because all of them come differently as some are larger than others and some are different colours to others.

When it came to 3D modelling I wasn’t the greatest I was decent and I could get the job done. Although when it came to the hand painted textures this is where I say one of my stronger points are, this is because my hand painted textures were going well and they looked like what they were meant to. The programming side I think that I will able to do well in when it comes to doing more practice, this is because I am doing well and I haven’t done that much as I haven’t touched it before this assignment. When it came to the 2D Art this is where I find my weakest point and this is because I have never been that good at art at all and this is due to not doing art much and not seeing myself doing that well in it in the future.

When it came to completing the work on time I was not that well at doing, this is due to not having any good time management at all. To improve this I will be managing my time better in the next assignment due to missing the interims in this assignment. This also comes down to not being able to work from home, this then makes me have to rely on the college for if any computers are free after my college hours so I can get as much done then as I can.

I found out that I participated in group activities very well and this is because I got the work done quite well and I got along with my group members. One reason for this is that I get along with a lot of people therefore I find it easy to work with others in group activities. When it came to peer feedback I found that I did well in and this is because I gave good feedback and when I got feedback given to me I got done what needed to be done, as well as improving the bits that needed. I feel that I acted well to my feedback and that it went good and I found it extremely helpful.

In the future I could improve my work by making sure I have really good time management. This can by done by setting up some sort of time management online and them keeping to it and setting my own deadlines for each bit of work. I can also improve my work better by implementing more images to my research, logs and workshop skills lessons. I can also practice more with the parts where I feel weak in and then slow down a little with the bits I feel that I am stronger with.

 

In conclusion in my work this assignment I feel that I have done well and this is because I feel strong with what I have done and that I also fell that it can be improved. I feel that my time management has not been good and next assignment I feel that I can improve in time management a lot, this is due to me missing out on interims therefore my work was not as detailed as it could be. I feel like I now know my strong and weak points when it come to creating work and objects that can be used in my assignment. I also feel like I participate well with others in a group and I take my feedback well.
