Initial Ideas

Initial Ideas and Game Ideas Mind Map:

I have made a large mind map and this involved 2 roots, one with the name ‘Initial Ideas’ and the other has the name ‘Game Ideas’. I did this so it is easier to see which ideas will come under initial and which ones will cone under game ideas. I find this mind map helpful and this is because it can be used to help me develop 2 ideas that I like and that I think that will turn out well. I will then choose the one that I think will get me the highest mark possible, I will do this because I feel I will be able to write a lot about it and get a good body of work from it.

Explaining 2 Ideas:

Different Weapons Throughout The Era’s Of Revolution:

One of the ideas that I have done further research into is the idea of making 3D Models of weapons from different era’s, I chose this because it will show how much the weapons have changed and how deadly they are compared to how they used to be. Another reason I chose to look into this idea is because I thought that it would be interesting to look at and try to create.

Sabre Idea Mood Board:

I have collected a range of images that cover my idea of making a Sabre 3D model, I have chose these images and this is because they all have little differences with minor detail and I can use this to make my own version of one. I can also come back to this mood board after I have done my final piece so I can reflect on what I have made compared to other people.

Cannon Idea Mood Board:

I have collected a range of images that cover my idea of making a Cannon 3D model, the reason for choosing these images is because they are all different and I can tell this because they are in different sizes and shapes. Another reason I chose these pictures is because I can keep coming back to this mood board so I can make sure that my cannon is going well and right.

Musket Idea Mood Board:

I have collected a range of images that cover my idea of making a Musket 3D model,  I chose the images in this mood board and this is because I think that they all look good with some minor tweaks to them all. I can also use these images to reflect what I have done and what can be done to improve what I have done.

Modern Sniper Idea Mood Board:

I have collected a range of images that cover my idea of making a modern day sniper 3D model, I chose these images because they are all different in their own way so this gives me a lot of space to be creative and this can be done by taking some parts from some snipers and putting it on others.

Revolutionary Art:

The other idea that I decided to do some research on was the revolutionary art, this is because I can find doing art enjoyable at times and when I try to make it look good it came come out quite nice. If I was to chose this idea I would go ahead and make some art to do with the weapons used in the revolutionary wars as well as some of the settings and way the people liked in the industrial revolution. This is to show what they lived like and the way they dealt with the surroundings in the revolutions.

Revolutionary War Art:

I have collected a range of images that are art to do with the revolutionary wars, I have done this so I can have a rough idea on what it was like and what they had to deal with as well as how they lived. I can use these images later on to refer to later on so I can keep all these aspects in memory.

Industrial Revolution Art:

I have collected a bunch of images that are to do with the industrial revolution, I have done this so I can use it as reference material when it comes to making art on the way people lived in this revolution as well as their surroundings. I can use these images later on for memory jogs if I forget what some images looked like.

Brief Paragraph Explaining My Idea:

My idea is to create 4 different models and this is to show how the weapons throughout the revolutions have changed, this is because it comes under the theme revolution quite well and it is 3D Modelling which is what I want to do for the project. The models that I am going to make are a Sabre, a Cannon, a Musket and a modern day sniper. This is because this is the best way that I can think of showing how the weapons have changed throughout the eras of revolution.
